ABOUT PROJECT by Phillip Smith
Offcut is a range of products designed to utilise the offcuts from a unique printing process called die-cutting. From the printing and cutting of things like coasters, there is a great deal of wasted paper that is simply thrown in the recycling. Offcut aims to re-use, rather than recycle in a unique way.
Using a range of processes including gluing, laser cutting and edge-painting, as a group of 3 designers we developed a range of products including a vase, wine rack and table lamp. They each use paper offcuts and solid laser cut Radiata Pine.
