Color Picker – Anders Clausen
“Color Picker” is one of the latest works of Anders Clausen part of the exhibition titled “Year of Cooperation”, made in collaboration with Broadway 1602 Gallery in New York and Hotel, in London. This new series by Clausen shows an awesome interface studies which this time have been manipulated and glitched. I usually go back to check one of my favorite works from him, it’s another interface study he made two years ago focused on one of the most beautiful icons from Mac over the last decade, the well known glossy and aqua theme scrollbar, see here. An icon which has been a motive of inspiration for several artist. I’m a huge fan of this toolbar, to me is a pity Macintosh went into a flat and minimalist design (in Lion) trying to hide symbols like the scrollbar which life is going to be really short because of the use of devices such as the trackpad and the Magic Mouse, we will see what happen on the next update of Mac OS.
